Robert I. Thomas, our owner, brings over 20 years experience delivering high-quality service to customers, and has set the highest standard for practice with Assisting Hands. Along with his wife Charisse Thomas, Phd, and their two children Faye and Ethan, Robert has lived and worked in 5 countries overseas, speaks five languages, and has gathered best practices from the world over to bring an unparalleled depth of knowledge and compassion to Assisting Hand’s team. Robert is known for his exacting standards for his team, and his gentle, caring interaction with Assisting Hands clients. He’s always available to address the needs and questions of Assisting Hands clients.

Lori O'Brien, our General Manager for Charlotte County, brings the care experience with her own father to table, and works passionately to make sure Assisting Hands clients get the superb care and respect she didn't always see with her father's care team.   A long-time resident of Punta Gorda, Lori enjoys meeting each new Charlotte County client face to face, and personally manages the care for residents of Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, and beyond.  Lori's enthusiasm for her work shines through every time she answers the phone.

Margaret Lawson, our Scheduler, takes great pride in matching the perfect caregiver for each client.  Margaret loves her job and it shows--she goes the extra mile to make each care experience a pleasure for Assisting Hands clients.

Kathy Cunningham, our chief RN, brings a lifetime of compassionate care to Assisting Hands. With over 30 years in nursing in SW Florida, Kathy knows the needs of seniors in Florida and where the resources are in the area.  Kathy is known for her tireless energy, exacting standards of care, and quick smile.
